it is much more musical and precise than you can imagine.
I received an email from SVS asking me to write a real review, bad or good, it doesn't matter. Well, then. This sub is at such a level that you will gradually realize its beauty, it is much more musical and precise than you can imagine. Extremely stylish, strong and powerful, very accurate and fast, tight, with an app. It’s on a more musical level than you and your expectations. They also put an SVS tshirt as a gift, very cool, I wear it. Free fast delivery. 10 out of 5, you're just the best. Thank you so much, guys. Will buy another one, no doubt.

Very happy I finally went with SVS!
I had been looking at reviews of SVS subs for a very long time, and a glad I finally pulled the trigger on an SVS sub. I decided to replace my aging B&W sub that I've had for almost 20 years. It's eaten up hundreds of dollars in required repairs over the years and I could start to audibly hear the driver bottom out and distort more at louder levels. I decided to get the SB-3000 because I like the tightness of sealed subs, and the overall features, cabinet size, and driver size matched my requirements. I listen to a lot of 2CH music and wanted something that sounds great with music and movies. I am now running a dual sub setup, and kept the B&W sub running at a lower level to fill in bass. I regret not upgrading to a dual sub setup a long time ago. It really makes a difference in the uniformity of the bass response, especially given that our listening room is quite large. Eventually, I will replace the B&W sub with a second SB3000 but for the time being I am very happy with this purchase and my current setup. I was also relieved to see the black ash finish blend well with my existing speakers, the marketing pictures on the SVS website must have used a bright flash that makes the finish look very different from its look under normal lighting conditions. I love the bluetooth app as well -- huge upgrade from my old sub from 2003! Overall, 5 stars!!!

Mind blowing performance!
I could not be happier with my purchase of the SB16 Ultra. I first found SVS about a year ago when beginning my Home Theater addiction. Bought my first sub, which was the PB1000 Pro. Very impressive performance for the price point. As with any addiction, the desire for more and better quickly consumed my thoughts. When considering upgrades, I decided to try sealed over ported, since the ported sub was a tad boomy for me (not bad, but just not my preference). As such, I looked at the SB3000…then the SB4000. While both of those would have been worthy upgrades, I decided to skip the inevitable desire for future upgrades and jump straight to the top product stack with the SB16 Ultra. The price jump is considerable, but the performance jump far exceeds the cost. It’s just a mind blowing experience. Crisp, clean, and immense bass with little to effort from the SB16 Ultra. Great for both music and movies. I also like that the size difference of the SB16 Ultra when compared to the ported PB1000 Pro isn’t all that much. If you are on the fence about the SB16 Ultra and can comfortably afford the purchase, DO IT. You won’t regret it.
in my home.

Was really impressed by the sound, one thing I was struggling with other subs, was the integration with my bowers & Wilkins 705 s2.
Was really impressed by the sound, one thing I was struggling with other subs, was the integration with my bowers & Wilkins 705 s2. Now it sounds like a full range speakers system. At first I was only using one micro 3000 and I couldn't tell were the bass was coming from, sounded it good. But now I have receive the second one and the sound is more fuller even at low volumen.

FAQ
A sealed subwoofer is a type of subwoofer cabinet that is completely airtight, meaning that the air inside the enclosure cannot escape, nor can any air from outside get in. This type of subwoofer cabinet produces a tighter and more accurate and controlled bass response, which is great for music enthusiasts who want to experience full range sound. The cabinet size of sealed subwoofers is also significantly smaller than ported enclosures. To learn more about sealed subwoofers, click here
Sealed subwoofers are generally considered better for audiophiles and critical music listening because they are more accurate in frequency response with less phase rotation resulting in tighter bass with better transient response. This allows them to render musical instruments in a more convincing way. To learn more about the benefits of sealed subwoofers, click here
Running sealed and ported subwoofers together in a stereo or home theater system is not recommended because it can cause the subwoofers to work against each other due to the different phase responses. This is especially true over the port tuning frequency of the ported subwoofer. It can actually result in less bass because the sound waves will cancel each other out over that bandwidth. Subwoofer placement often depends on available floor space and competing variables like décor and visual impact considerations. The most common placement for a subwoofer is in the front of the room and usually results in the best blending with your main speakers. Front and rear corners of a room are also recommended areas for subwoofer placement. To learn more about subwoofer placement, click here.
